a taste of Eastside Distilling

A few weeks ago I spied a Groupon Offer a distillery tour in Portland and knowing we would be stopping there for a night on our way home from Cali I snapped it up.  I had seen Burnside Bourbon up here in Seattle, but this visit provided the opportunity to check out everything else Eastside Distilling has to offer.

At the tasting we got to choose six different things to taste from their list of bourbon, vodka and rum items – Then we each got a Bahama Breeze cocktail to sip during our tour.  The drink was heavy on cucumber and too light on ginger rum, but the tour was super informative  (though I should note it took place in all one room, so not much touring involved, mostly information given).

So, what did we buy to take home?  the classic Burnside Bourbon and the awesome Ginger Rum which I can’t wait to start playing with:
