Time for a Classic Martini…

Mix up a classic martini with my buddy Charlotte to get you through this rainy hump today – This martini is made with gin and vermouth, and garnished with an olive or a lemon twist. Over the years, the martini has become one of the best-known classic cocktails.

  • 2-½ ounce gin
  • ½ dry vermouth
  • 2 olives for garnish

This most iconic cocktail actually has fairly unknown roots. And over the years, its taste has changed dramatically—from a sweet, vermouth-based drink to the dry, gin-centric one we sip today.

Build ingredients in a mixing glass with ice. Stir thoroughly and strain into a chilled coupe or cocktail glass. Garnish with two olives or a twist of lemon.
