Last week my friend EG organized the Taste for Treehouse event, featuring several local wines, beers & spirits all for a good cause! For those of you unfamiliar with Treehouse, they aim to give foster kids a childhood & a future through a variety of services.
While enjoying our samples from Stoup, No. 6 cider, chateau Ste. Michelle, Brovo Spirits, Elysian, and many more we sampled yummy bites, enjoyed the live band and perused the silent auction items. I was sad to lose out on the bottle of Leonetti and the package from Wine Awesomeness, but friend EC won an intriguing bottle of Cherrywood Rye whiskey from Sonoma County Distilling
The big hit of the night was the Ring Toss for sure – toss a ring around a bottle of wine, and bing! you’re winner! I had 15 tosses and finally one a bottle of BonTerra on my last chance.
My friend DC cleaned up though on a hot streak, going home with five bottles to guzzle! Hope I get invited over for a couple of them.
Many thanks to all the local purveyors who donated their goods to support Treehouse and create a fun night – they are definitely a worthy cause and this was a fun way to support them! If you’d like to support Treehouse, go here: http://www.treehouseforkids.org/donate/
